This is a short blog today: PRAY FOR GOD’S CHURCH.
What is the Church? It’s God’s Family. God has one Family. It is made up of all those blood-bought people who make up the Body of Christ Jesus. All who accept Jesus on the basis of faith are in God’s Family. People from every nation, with varying cultural backgrounds.
God loves His Church.
Pray for the purification and holiness of the Church, and for greater devotion.
Pray for continued alignment to God’s heart, for greater truth and sincerity, and the removal of every false thing.
Pray for the exposure of false teachings and doctrines, particularly those that lead people away from seeing the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit rightly. Pray that those who spread them are exposed.
Pray for love and unity, especially across denominational lines.
Pray for true humility, repentance, and forgiveness to be valued.
Pray the Church would rise into all Her destiny in God, in the full power of the Holy Spirit.
Pray for the Church. But as you pray, ask God, “What are the prayers You want me to pray for the Church?” Then listen for specific things to pray, or for something He may lay upon your heart, or pray scripture.
“Be faithful in prayer” (Romans 12:12, NIV).
