Where do we pray? Everywhere. All the time. Non-stop. “Pray without ceasing” (1Thes 5:17).

We can pray while we’re working. While we’re driving. Or flying in a plane. When we’re cooking and cleaning, or doing the lawn. We can pray when we’re with family and friends. Pray sitting on the beach. Walking through a store. At the park. While we’re gardening. Having coffee in a cafe. Pumping gas in the car. Pumping iron in the gym.

No matter what we are doing, no matter the activity, Jesus loves to be brought into every moment of our lives. Proverbs 3:6 says, “In all your ways acknowledge Him!” this is the יָדַע  yada knowing Him. Yada means to personally know Him, to become increasingly more aware of His presence and friendship. It means to be diligent in seeking Him, and do it in every area or life, knowing He wants infuse all your life with His.

Smith Wigglesworth, revivalist, said:

I don’t often spend more than half an hour in prayer at one time, but I never go more than half an hour without praying.

Frank Laubach was a missionary who led one billion souls to Jesus. He attributes all of it to learning to bring Jesus into every single minute of his waking hours. He said:

God, I want to give You every minute of this year. I shall try to keep You in mind every moment of my waking hours….I shall try to let You be the speaker and direct every word. I shall try to let You direct my acts. I shall try to learn Your language.
