Why do some Christians have a hard time believing (seeing) there is a hideously evil deep state? Why do some turn away in denial or misbelief that such evil exists?
It is biblical:
Babylon set up political rulers over the nations it conquered/occupied, including Israel. These rulers would often be people from that occupied nation who were selling their own people out, nickel and diming them, for their own political advancement and monetary gain (like George Soros today). Babylon would remove one set of leaders and then install another at their whim; these were puppet leaders (like Bush and Obama) —a deep state.
Rehoboam (Judah’s king), Jeroboam, Nadab, Baasha, Elah, Zimri, Omari, Ahab, and then Jehu’s son’s, 4 generations of his family (Israel’s Kings) were engaged in all manner of ritual child abuse and child sacrifice to their idols: Ashteroth, Chemosh, Molek. King Jeroboam is who set up idol worship in Israel and made it the national religion of the Northern kingdom (1Kings 11:33; 1Kings 12, 13, 14, 15, 16; 2Kings 10, 13, 15, 23:10. Also see Lev 18:23, 20:2-3; Jer 32:35) —Satanic occultism by the kings/leadership of the nation.
Ezekiel 8 tells of the Jerusalem ruling class being deeply involved in idolatrous, satanic ritual worship. They sacrificed to their idols in God’s temple, inside God’s church —A satanic cult inside the church, organized by church leaders and in cahoots with the city leadership.
Rome installed the Herod’s as a political ruling class over Israel and they ruled during the time of Jesus. The Herod’s were puppet kings, puppet politicians. They were given power so long as they stayed loyal to the Romans, did the Roman bidding, often murderously oppressing their own people to keep Rome happy and sometimes just to maintain their power —Another form of deep state.
Evil exists. Evil’s hunger for power is insatiable. We cannot turn a blind eye to what is being exposed these last few years in America. Corruption at the highest levels has existed through all human history.
But for God…
God has stepped in—again and again—to rescue people and turn a nation back to Himself. This is what He is doing right now in 2020 —the year of double redemption and returned vision: true “spiritual seeing.”
Spiritual blindness is a direct result of idolatry. No more spiritual blindness!!! Throw off every weight and hindrance of sin that entangles. Repent if/where necessary. And run again the race marked out! (Heb 12:1) God has great plans for this nation. Don’t sleepily miss what He is doing. He is reviving and renewing and reforming everything… right before our very eyes 2020 is a great big reboot!!
God is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves (like the exodus from Egypt). Stand in the place of thanks and praise. And continually lift up worship to Him. This is how we make warfare!
